Using Clipart to Establish a Theme
The only thing your yearbook theme is limited by is your imagination! Our software gives you the freedom to lay out pages and templates exactly the way you imagine them. With numerous font options, backgrounds, and clipart styles, your yearbook can be a unique representation of your school that no one else can replicate.
Clip art is provided in 6 main categories with multiple subcategories in each. Rather than sticking with one category for the entire book, try getting creative with different combinations. For example, clipart from the Halloween category could be used on only a few pages to highlight the best student Halloween costumes, while backgrounds from the Blue Skies category could be used behind portraits.
Choosing a theme doesn’t have to be a stressful process. Before designing anywhere in the software, do some brainstorming with the yearbook staff to determine what the overall look and feel of the book should be. Make sure that the theme chosen tells a story about the year to come instead of just picking a generic theme that could apply to any school. Looking through our clipart samples beforehand may spark some inspiration and get everyone on the same page.
