Production Questions

It will take 3 to 4 days from your submission for your hard copy proof to ship to you. Once you receive the proof, please accept or decline it as soon as possible to speed up the rest of the process.
Our turnaround times are some of the fastest in the industry. Once you approve your proof, it takes 5-7 days to print. Since our printing facilities are located across the country, your books will be printed regionally in the facility that is closest to you. We offer 2-day shipping so that they can arrive to your school as quickly as possible. *Does not include weekends or holidays.
If you see an error in your proof, please notify us immediately and let us know that it is not approved. You will be responsible for making the changes in the software yourself if it was not our error. We suggest getting someone to proofread the entire book before sending it off to print. That way, you can save time and receive your yearbooks sooner.
Our yearbooks are the highest quality and you will receive the most value for your money. We offer very quick turnaround and delivery times. Please look around our site to learn more about us and why we are different.
We offer three types of binding: saddle stitch, perfect bound, and hardcover. These options are available at different price points, which can be quoted for you on our Pricing page.
If you receive any damaged yearbooks, please contact us and give an explanation of the damage. Sometimes packages that are meant to be handled with care are not and this can result in slight imperfections in your books.

Late fall to early January is the typical time for the yearbook design and creation process. Then, books begin rolling in that March. While other companies can have your books to you in 6-8 weeks, we offer a much shorter turnaround time of 1 week.

The ordering process begins in May, at the end of the school year. Choices are finalized in September when school starts again. Final orders are accepted in late January.

Software Questions

PSPA stands for the Professional School Photographers’ Association. A PSPA CD refers to the way that the portrait images are organized into a database. The database contains all of the information for every child’s photo, including their names, club and group affiliations, etc.

It’s easy to import your school portraits from a PSPA CD. Manage and correct individual student information online, then automatically flow your portrait pages with the click of a button. The new portrait wizard makes panel design a breeze, with instant previews of your results that can be used throughout the book.

PSPA indexes are generally created with special software owned by your school’s portrait photography studio. YearbookFusion is able to read these index files but can’t generate one.

Creating a PSPA is a very labor intensive process that would best be left to your portrait studio if they are able to provide it (and most shouldn’t have a problem with this). If you can’t get a PSPA, you’ll need a spreadsheet software like Excel, all of the portrait images in a standard size .JPG file, a class roster, and a good proofreader.

If you need a sample Excel file, these are available on Lumapix’s website.

Yes. If there are multiple people working on the yearbook, you can create a team. All team members are assigned a role and can also be assigned specific pages to work on. The workflow for creating a yearbook is completely up to you. Since the software is online, it can be accessed by a group of people working in a shared computer lab or in various locations both at home and at school.

To open sets of templates, click on Add Pages and select Templates.

The majority of the yearbook graphic collection is available in the Gallery. When you are in the Editor screen, click on the Photos tab. Click the back arrow to get to the folder named LumaPix Clipart. Here you’ll find thousands of items, from background papers to header labels.

Click on Add Pages and the Portraits. The portrait wizard will walk you thru it step by step. You can also find complete instructions in the user’s manual and the tutorial videos. Both are found directly in the YearbookFusion software.
